    Instructions for Use


 

 

Thank you for purchasing Optimum Bio Sound Therapy (OBST).

This reference guide enables you to set up your device for first use.

 

OBST Components included in the box

1 x Apple iPad - charge before use

3 x  OBST-Approved Earbuds - charge as per instructions before use (please only use these specific earbuds for OBST)

 

Connect your iPad to your home Wifi

● Turn on your iPad, Click on settings, tap on Wi-Fi and select your home WiFi.
● Pair your Earbuds to your iPad (you need to do this for each new pair of Earbuds when you start with a new pair after 90 hours of OBST use for JLab Earbuds and 60 hours of Laser Earbud use). 
● Once charged, press the middle button on the earbud control until the light flashes red & blue (4-6s).
● In Settings on the iPad, select Bluetooth. Tap JLab BT or AO-BT180  (Earbuds) in the list to pair - you will see ‘connected.’ on the right-hand side.
● Your synced Earbuds should now connect automatically to the iPad each time they are turned on.

Important notes relating to your Earbuds

● Replace your Earbuds every 90 hours for JLab Earbuds and 60 hours for Laser Earbuds (they are not effective after this time).
● You must be able to hear the sound of rain in both ears (louder is not better).
● You can watch TV, listen to music, and chat to others while using OBST but must hear the rain sound through the Earbuds (not the iPad).


Important “must do’s” to ensure best results
● Please do not install any iOS or device software updates if prompted as this will affect the delivery of the service and your iPad will need to be sent back to us to reset (NZD95 + postage fee applies).
● Wear the Earbud controller on your left side and the cord draped around the back of your neck.
● Ensure your iPad Wifi connection is at full strength (3 bars), less strength affects results.
● Ensure you are within 2m of the iPad when in use, distance affects results.
● Do not charge your device while using the App, otherwise it will interfere with OBST delivery.
● Consistency is key, ensure you use OBST every day where possible.

Instructions for using OBST
● Open the blue Optimum Bio App, Tick “I agree to the T's & C's” on left and Click AGREE red box on right.
● Select your length of session and press play.  It is recommended to start with 2 hours a day, then increase by 1 hour a day each week until 6 hours a day. Split sessions are fine, but ideally 2hrs at a time.
● The Optimum Bio App must remain open and the iPad on.
● If you can't hear rain, check the iPad connection to Wifi and Earbuds (bluetooth) connection to iPad. Please note - your home internet connection will, from time to time disconnect, - there is an auto-reconnect feature built in, so it will reconnect to OBST automatically when your internet comes back on.
● You can adjust the volume and screen brightness from the iPad (and volume from your Earbuds).
● Ideally place the iPad on your left-hand side within 2m of you during use and try to avoid any other electronics devices or appliances in close proximity to the iPad. Do not hold the iPad during a session.
● Once you have finished, quit your session and recharge your iPad and your Earbuds.


Other Notes
● Please try and drink half to one glass of water for every hour of OBST.
● You may notice a slight decrease in resting heart rate during your first 1-2 weeks of use - this is perfectly normal.
