Before using JLab Earbuds, remove the Cush FinTM, and the Cable Cinch as this will affect the delivery of Optimum Bio Sound Therapy frequency modulation.
JLab Earbuds often are pre-charged and don't require charging before first use. The initial charge for Laser Earbuds may take up to 4 hours to charge before first use. All Earbuds should be charged after each Optimum Bio Sound Therapy session.
Connect the included Micro-USB cable to the USB port of a power adapter.
Attach the other end of the cable to the Micro-USB port on the Earbuds.
For Laser Earbuds, the indicator light will turn blue once fully charged. If the light remains red, unplug and replug the cable until it changes to blue.
We recommend placing at least one Earbud in your ear during pairing so that you can hear the automated prompts ("Power On", “Power Off”, “Connected”).
Power on the Earbuds by pressing and holding the middle button on charged Earbuds until it flashes red and blue. You will hear the prompt "Power On".
On the OptiRTP Delivery Platform (iPad), navigate to the Home Screen.
(For help navigating to the Home Screen, click here.)
Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
Make sure Bluetooth is toggled on (green = on, grey = off).
Under OTHER DEVICES, look for the listing JLab BT or AO-BT180
(Respectively, all JLab Earbuds and Laser Earbuds are initially identified with this name.)
Tap AO-BT180/JLab BT to initiate pairing. You will hear "Connected" through the Earbuds once pairing is successful.
The Earbuds will now appear under MY DEVICES, showing as "Connected", and the light on the Earbuds will be flashing blue.
Your Earbuds will remain paired unless they are manually unpaired or reset.
We recommend powering off the Earbuds before charging. Place one in your ear to hear the prompt confirming shutdown.
Press and hold the middle button on the Earbuds for a few seconds. You will hear "Power Off", and the indicator lights will switch off.
Charging may again take 1.5 hours to full charge for JLab Earbuds and several hours for Laser Earbuds.
