Welcome to the Updated Optimum Bio Sound Therapy App

1. Turn on your iPad, click on settings, tap on Wi-Fi and select your home Wi-Fi.

2. Pair your Earbuds to your iPad (you need to do this for each new pair of Earbuds when you start with a new pair after 60 hours of OBST use). For help with pairing and renaming your Earbuds, please refer to the Quick Start Guide for OBST-Approved Earbuds.

1. On your iPad Home Screen, tap on the Optimum Bio Sound Therapy App. For help with navigating to the Home Screen on an iPad, please refer to the Navigating Screens on an iPad article. 

         

2. Read the OBST Terms & Conditions of Use. At the bottom tick the checkbox "I agree to the terms and conditions", and tap Agree. 

          

1. Tap Add a New Profile.

2. Enter your First Name and Last Name, and tap Submit.

Tip: Tap the keyboard button in the right hand corner to minimize the keyboard if you cannot click on the Last Name field. 

3. You will be prompted for your User Name and Password, enter your login details and tap Submit.

NOTE: Your login details have been provided to you via email. If you are unable to find them, please raise a Ticket through our Service Support Portal. (If you haven't logged a Ticket before, you will need to click on "Sign-up as a New User"). 

4. A pop-up message will appear "Optimum Bio Sound Therapy" Would Like to Add VPN Configurations" – tap Allow. 

5. You will now be able to start using the App under the Profile you have created.

1. Choose your session length – 2, 4, or 6 hours.

          

2. Wear your paired Earbuds with the controller on your left side and the cord draped around the back of your neck. 

3. Tap Play to begin your session. 

         

• When the Play button has turned green, a session has started.
  
• The timer will start counting down when the session begins.
• You must be able to hear the sound of rain in both ears (louder is not better).
• If you can't hear rain, check the iPad connection to Wi-Fi and Earbud (bluetooth) connection to iPad.
• The OBST App must remain open and the iPad on during a session.
• Ensure your iPad Wi-Fi connection is at full strength (3 bars), less strength effects results.
• Ensure you are within 2m of the iPad when in use, distance affects results.
• You can adjust the volume and screen brightness from the iPad (and volume from your Earbuds).
  
• Screen brightness will affect iPad battery life, so keep brightness as low as possible. 
• Do not hold the iPad during a session.
• Please note - your home internet connection will, from time to time disconnect, - there is an auto-reconnect feature built in, so it will reconnect to OBST automatically when your internet comes back on.

4. Tap Pause to stop your session. 

        

Step 5 — Track Your Sessions and Earbud Usage

1. Tap on User Info (in the top right-hand corner of the App) to view Session history and Earbud total hours. 

          

2. Tap on the User Profile to see their session history. 

          

3. Tap on the Earbuds to view the associated session logs. 

          

4. On the Earbuds Log List you can see Session Date, Start Time, End Time and Duration for the selected Earbuds.

          

5. To navigate back to the Session screen from the Earbuds Log List, tap the arrow: 

          

1. Tap the arrow (top left) to return to the Earbuds List screen.
   
2. Tap the arrow (top left) of the Earbuds List to return to the Select Profile screen.
   
3. Tap the arrow (top left) of the Select Profile screen to return to Session screen.
   

Step 6 — Exit the App and Save your Session

1. Tap the Exit button to quit and save your session. 

        

2. Recharge both iPad and Earbuds after use.

1. Open the Optimum Bio Sound Therapy app.

2. Read the OBST Terms & Conditions of Use, tick the checkbox "I agree to the terms and conditions", then tap the red Agree button.

3. Tap the Add a New Profile button.

4. Enter First Name → enter Last Name.

Tip: to minimize the keyboard if it is overlapping with the Last Name field, tap the keyboard button in the right hand corner of the keyboard.

5. Tap the blue Submit button.

6. Your new profile will appear in the list. If there are multiple profiles, swipe to scroll and find yours.

7. Select your profile and start your session.

1. Tap the User Info icon (person symbol, top right). 

2. Tap the "+" button (top right) to add a profile. 

3. Enter First Name → enter Last Name.

Tip: to minimize the keyboard if it is overlapping with the Last Name field, tap the keyboard button in the right hand corner of the keyboard.

4. Tap the Submit button. Your new profile will appear in the list.

5. Important: To use the App under the newly created profile, you will need to exit and reopen the App:

a). Tap the arrow (top left) to return to the main screen. 

b). Tap the Exit button to close the app. 

c). Reopen the App and select your profile before starting a session.

1. From the main screen, tap the User Info icon (top right). 

2. The profile with a ✓ tick is the current active user (e.g John Katy in the image below). 

3. To change users, exit the app and select a different profile upon reopening.

1. Rename your Earbuds before first use.
Naming each set of Earbuds uniquely, e.g. OBST Earbuds A, will help you to easily distinguish between Earbud session logs. For help with pairing and renaming your Earbuds, please refer to the Quick Start Guide for OBST-Approved Earbuds.

2. Create a unique profile for each user.
If more than one person in your household uses OBST, you can create separate User Profiles to keep session history and earbud tracking accurate.

3. Have separate Earbuds for each user.
This will make tracking the hours that each set of Earbuds has been used much easier and replacement simpler. If you share Earbuds with another user, to calculate total hours used you will need to check each User Profile and tally up the session times.
